Famous Fit Pros and Money

I had a conversation with a very famous fitness professional recently.

They were talking about a new product they were launching and wanted my advice about it.

Originally, they were looking for my advice as a fitness professional and how the program would benefit my gym and my Mastermind clients.

Personally, I have evolved over the years from a fitness professional to a sales and marketing professional.

This is just how my mind works these days.

The question was not will people like it and want to use it.

The track record of these guys spoke for itself.

The question I had was:

How are we going to sell it? 

It turned out that I had been a client of this company back in 2005.

I’ve used their product for the past 15 years, still do today.

But here’s where the long silence started…

I went on to tell them I had not paid them a dime since that period. 

I was a huge fan and a proponent of their product and knew they had sold other stuff.

But I never bought any of it because they never asked me to buy it.

That’s 15 years of lost revenue…and more long silence.

I am positive I’m not the only one on this category.

So back to this new product.

No matter how great this new thing is, it won’t matter without an engine to sell it.

I asked how many were on their email list.

They replied with ¼ million email subscribers.

I almost dropped the phone.

My next question was how often they mailed it.

1-2 times per month.

I dropped the phone.

These people are all potential new clients of yours.

Every day of your waking business life you have the opportunity to walk into that auditorium, get on stage and speak to them.
