Today I’m in the mountains of Colorado spending the day with the CEO mastermind.
It’s my highest level mastermind group who are all among America’s top gym owners.
We meet 4x per year and have high-end business conversations for 2 full days…it’s always great fun and includes a ton of business breakthroughs.
In addition to myself, I also invite the FBU Head business coach Joe Hashey, who is definitely one of the best gym owners in the country.
I also always fly out my resident tech nerd who handles any challenges these guys may be having from a digital marketing perspective.
Before they come, they fill out a very large packet about their business.
I sat down and created a document that had the most effective questions I could ever ask a business owner.
Each quarter they answer these questions to guide their 60 minute hot seat they get in front of the room.
In addition, they attach their financials.
While many other masterminds are based on emotion and feel…this group has the courage to get fully naked in front of some of America’s top gym owners and show their numbers.
It’s not a group for the faint of heart.
Just the courage to do this makes them more courageous gym owners, which transfers to their performance and their leadership.
To give you a little sneak into the meeting, I’ll share one of the questions I ask them.
I think this question alone will be well worth opening this email.

What is the one question that if it were answered today would have the biggest positive impact on your business in the next quarter?
There it is. A question about a question!
Tony Robbins says “The quality of your life is in direct proportion to the quality of the questions you ask”
So each quarter I push them to think about the most important questions they need to ask.
