Here’s the story of how we went from 53 to 101 Google reviews in just a few months.
One of our talking points in our marketing for my gym is that we have 101 Google reviews.
We brag about it all the time since social proof is THE most powerful form of persuasion, according to Dr. Robert Chaldini.
We dominate our market and our closest competitor only has about 20(we looked)
Last week we had someone come in off our website completely cold.
She said when she saw that we had 101 Google reviews, she automatically opted in for our offer on the website.
She found us when she typed in “personal trainer by me” into google to find us…She also signed a $500/month membership too, which was cool.
So here’s an idea for you…
Google Reviews will make you money…so it makes sense to prioritize them.
When I hired Will “Tech Nerd” Matthiessen to re-do our website he told us we need more Google reviews.
He told us the website was going to work way better than our last one because it was faster and it was optimized to convert…
…But he said that more social proof in the form of Google reviews would be like adding gas on a fire.
He was right.
Since we’ve had our “Tech Nerd” designed site …we’ve never had more clients opt-in through our website…not even the website I paid $10,000 to some creative…that knew ZERO about making that website into an income-producing asset…but it did have a cool video, LOL.

So here’s what we did to get the reviews:
We added Google reviews to our weekly scoreboard.
This meant that every Monday at our team meeting, we’d look at where we were last week and where we were a week later.
If we hit our goal, great.
If we didn’t…an action step was put in place to his the goal for next week.
All you really need to do is ask your clients, it’s pretty simple.
People overthink this, just ask them!
If you’ve served them well, they’ll give you one.
A few months later we doubled the amount of Google reviews and now it’s a big asset for us.
