I’ve been getting a lot of questions recently about small group training.
Many of the questions are from gym owners that either did 1-1 or large group and want to make a switch to small group.
As someone that has done this for over 13 years, I think it’s a great decision.
But, a lot of the questions have been about HOW to do it.
Should they do 4 or 6 people.
Use individualized programs or template system.
Warm-up as a group or do more of a corrective warm-up on your own.
Here’s what’s going on:
Lots of indecision.
The cause of indecision?
Too many times we get bogged down by the details and get paralyzed by them.
Yes it’s a big change but honestly what’s the worst that could happen?
It’s not like 50% of your members are going to disappear because of some rare virus.
Oh wait, that just happened 6 months ago…and here you are…still kicking.
Learn about what others are doing…Yes.
But, instead of collecting more dots…start connecting the dots for what’s going to work best for your current situation.
This goes for many other decisions too not just this one.
You’ll never be 100% sure on most things.
Don’t let the fear of what could happen get in the way of making progress.
If you mess you up, you learn.
When you learn you can make progress.
When you make progress, you grow.
My life changed when I realized this.
Constant growth makes for a fulfilled and happy life.
Making mistakes is a key ingredient for growth.
So, go ahead and make the call.
Sometimes you’ll win.
Other times you’ll learn.
