After putting out content for the last 10 years for my gym I’ve broken it down to 3 things it should do.
When talking content, I am considering things you put out via email and social media.
Here are the 3 things you should aim to do for your target market:
Educate: Make people smarter about health and fitness.
Best done with: Simple quick tips easy to implement, giving them results in advance will get them to you faster.
Entertain: Make people laugh and feel happy.
Best done with: Pics and videos of people like them sweating and smiling.
Inspire: Help people get off the couch and start believing in themselves.
Best done with: Success stories of your current members that showed where they were and how far they’ve come.
There is so much info out there from sources people do not trust.
Putting out consistent content is a key in becoming a trusted advisor in your community.
When your target market sees you know your stuff by consistently reading quality information about how to get in shape, they will, eventually start trusting you.
When your target market sees that you are just a cool place and people get happy from walking into your gym, they’ll have positive feelings about you.
When they see a steady stream of people like them having success, they will be very intrigued.
When the time is right for them and you have your offer out there (as you always do) they will take the next step.
Notice I keep saying target market, this is crucial.
Your emails and social media should be very focused on the types of people you’re trying to attract.
All this is fresh on my mind as I am getting ready to unleash Module 5 this Thursday in the Surge program titled “Dominating Email and Social Media”.
This is a free way to market your gym, I sometimes get confused as to why more gyms don’t have a strategy here for this.
Registration is closed on the current live run of the Surge program but I have been contacted on a daily basis to get in.
Because of that, I have decided there will be another run of the Surge program very soon. Hit reply if you’re interested in the next one.
Plus, whenever you’re ready, here are 4 ways to work with me:
1. Work with me 1-1 in 2019
In 2019, I will be taking on a few select gym owners to work with me in a private coaching program. This is not for newbies and you need to be doing at least $300K in revenue to be accepted into this program.
Email me personally to see if you qualify for this program at email@example.com and put “1-1 in 2019” in the subject.
2. Get on the early bird list for my Spring 2019 Mentorship.
Join me and my team at my gym in New Jersey for 2 days and get a fire lit under you. This seminar has been the launching pad for many gym owners build the gym of their dreams.
Email firstname.lastname@example.org to get on early bird list.
Note: There’s no obligation to sign up but you’ll lock in early bird price which is a good idea because the investment will go up dramatically this year.
