The Greatest Offer EVER

A long time ago, a company called BMG would put out an offer for CD’s. 

For my young audience, CDs are known as compact discs, they were the source for how we used to play music.  

Any who, they would put out this offer that said:  

12 CDs for 1 Cent!
They were usually anywhere from $10-$20 dollars each at the record store (they used to have actual stores that sold these things).

12 CDS for one cent was an amazing offer. 

I immediately bought it but I never read the fine print.

Soon after, I started getting notices from collection agencies just about every day at my parents’ house. 

I didn’t know that after a certain time you had to buy them. 

It was a total bait and switch. 

I am not recommending this tactic but there is a lesson here. 

The lesson is, in order for people to come your way you need to have a great offer. 

A $120 consultation is NOT a great offer. 

It puts a barrier up. 

You need to offer something very compelling. 

Something where people will say, “Yeah, I really want that”. 

Magazines do this very well too. 

They offer 75% off the cover price and a free football phone when you sign up for a year. 

People jump at that. 

A great offer for a training gym would be something like 30 days for $99.  

Think about your offer.

Do you even have one? 

Is it compelling? 

Are people saying “That sounds awesome”? 

This is very, very important and only target market tops it in order of importance in marketing.  

Start thinking about some offers that people in your community will start jumping on.
