1. Do I have enough leads?
This is your Marketing and is where most gym owners fall short. They fall short because they do not spend enough time learning to be a better marketer. You know way more about training than you’ll ever need but your marketing IQ is not where it needs to be.
Here is marketing 101.
- Have a clear Target Market.
- Build a clear and compelling message.
- Find the right tools to get the message out there.
2. Am I converting enough leads to come in for a consultation?
This is where lots of money goes to waste. There are gym owners who spend money on marketing. They do not have a great system for answering their inbound messages. They are lighting money on fire. Spend ample time training front desk staff to convert leads to consults, this is crucial.
3. Am I selling enough trial memberships?
This is taking a look at your consultation process. Are people getting fired up and motivated to join your gym? Or, is it another vomit session about how you do kettlebell stuff. The consultation is the most important hour in fitness, for them and for you.
4. Are enough of them buying annual memberships?
This is taking a look at the first experience your members have. Do they get results, so they feel cared for? Have you demonstrated your different than the other guys? Have you established that you are the last gym they’ll ever join?
As a gym owner and an entrepreneur, you must get good at asking the right questions.
These are the right questions when it comes to getting more clients. Print this out and put it on your wall.
