I will be releasing a 6-week Marketing and Sales course for brick and mortar gym owners very soon.
I was working on the Referral Machine module yesterday and it got me thinking why more gyms don’t do this very impactful stuff.
Of all the modules, the Referral Machine will be the best and most impactful.
My gym has great well-rounded marketing. If I had to keep just one of my client acquisition strategies, this would be it.
Gyms don’t get referrals because they fail to put in place very easy systems that drive them.
Gym owners expect them and think they are free, big mistake.
The gyms that wait for and expect referrals leave serious money on the table and if they only knew how simple it was.
The Referral Machine I will be presenting is simple but has many layers and steps that should NOT be skipped.
People always ask me for referral tactics and while they are great, tactics don’t build a Referral Machine that delivers high quality clients on a very consistent basis.
There needs to be several components working together to make the machine run that are beyond the scope of this email.
That said, I want to help you get started.
Here is a simple basic thing you can do to get more referrals:
Every time, and I mean every time you have a client sign up for either a trial membership or a full membership, give them a free trial to give as a gift.
If you do it every time, you’ll start getting more referrals.
When you add all the cool tricks, it works even better.
Now, there is much more to that system. It would take me an hour to unpack it all, but this should get you started.
Remember, referrals pay more, complain less, and stay longer.
It makes sense to have specific tangible and predicable strategies to generate them.
