In my opinion after 17 years in the fitness industry, 10 years as a gym owner and from coaching and consulting hundreds of gym owners, this is a massive mistake. 


The problem is many gurus are actually telling you to do this.


They are selling it to you!


A one trick pony that works (sometimes) in the short term but many times leaves you with nothing but a very expensive bill and lots of crappy unconverted leads. 


Then what do you do after you wasted your money?


There is usually no support or guidance because quite honestly, lots of these consultants had crappy gyms and either sold it for nothing or just keep it running at a mediocre level. 


How can they tell you what do next when they have never done it themselves?


My philosophy is different because I have lived through every stage a gym owner could possibly live through.


I never will tell anyone to rely on a one trick pony because it never works in the long haul.  It just gets you excited in the short term.


Instead you need multiple ways to market your gym.


You need them running all the time.


You need to pay attention to the numbers to be sure they still work.


You need a system.
