In the last few weeks we’ve seen a decrease in the effectiveness of our Facebook ads.
We on average were getting about 20 leads per week and this has dropped to 11 in the last few.
Now, I’m not telling you I’m shutting down the ads, not a chance, but I do want to activate and use the other methods of marketing I have on hand.
One of the main points in my book is to always have multiple streams of marketing going on.
Right now, we’re using 2 of those streams very strategically:
1. Leveraging our joint ventures
2. Emailing our local list, more
In my book, there’s an entire section on each of these and key points. I want you to walk away today with; you cannot rely on one marketing channel to fuel your business.
Even if you have one channel that’s working great, it’s bound to decrease in effectiveness at some point.
We are always looking to build joint ventures with other strong local businesses. Having these relationships are key not only for sound consistent lead gen but to be able to call on them when other methods are dragging.
This coming week we have emails being sent out on our behalf from 2 of our strongest joint ventures.
The other method we will use is leveraging our own email list. We mail this list several times a week and most of it is value driven content.
In times where lead gen is slower, we will up the amount of emails sent and have more emails specifically promoting a special program.
For example, right now many college kids are home. We put together a quick offer for college students looking to stay in shape for the summer and have already gotten several sales from it.
Usually when your core market is busy with graduations and end of year stuff, there is another market just waiting to be helped.
Most of you have these secondary markets already built into your email list. In our case they happen to be the kids of our core market.
So, the key with both of these here is have these methods in place but be in a position to be able to activate them when you need it.
I’ll be talking about this stuff in a few weeks at my one-day seminar in Providence, Rhode Island.
It’s going to be all about getting more leads and making more money.
