The Most Important Hour in Fitness

I’ll be speaking at the Perform Better Conference on July 1st in Providence, RI.

My presentation is about the most important hour in Fitness, the consultation.

It’s the most important for the client because it gets them started back to a better life.

They are taking their first step, which is not an easy one.

How this initial meeting goes, could make it or break it for them.

If they leave that meeting feeling excited and confident they just found the place for them, they will most likely transform their life.

If they leave that meeting with the feeling that these guys are just like the rest, they will probably just stay where they are.

It’s also the most important hour for you because signing up new members consistently is how you will continue to grow the business that will give you the life you want.

If you do not have the sales skills to take people that are filled with fear about gyms, turn them into excited paying clients, then you’ll probably stay struggling like the rest of most of the gym owners in America.

Your success in business depends largely on your ability to shift that fear into excitement, and hope into results.

It’s a big job and it is not for everyone.

I see that hour being broken down into 3 parts to be successful:

  1. What: Learning about what they want to accomplish(Goals)
  2. Why: Finding out why they want that and what will keep them motivated
  3. How: The strategy that will get them the results they want

There is a lot more to it, but that’s the foundation.
