If you get this down, you’ll have a great business.
Marketing is the process of getting people to KNOW you. But, today were focusing how to get them to LIKE you.
There is a book you all should read titled How to Win Friends and Influence People.
When we hire a new team member, part of their on boarding is to read this book, it should be part of yours too.
It highlights a few keys points that we use in our sales process. In general, that gets people to LIKE us and then ultimately trust us.
The first one is to be awesome at remembering names. The best sound to a person is their name. When you can remember it when they did not expect you to, great things will happen.
To do this, we share with our entire team when we sign up a new member. This way everyone on the team knows them and when they come in, people they’ve never even met know their name.
This makes them feel very important, cared for, and is a massive differentiator for you.
Your competition is NOT good at remembering names early, this is a huge advantage for you.
The next one is happy smiling people at your front desk.
If you have someone that is not friendly, they are lowering the chance for that member to sign up.
If they don’t smile, be super friendly, be efficient, and make people feel great while they are scheduling or billing them, they need to go and fast.
Many of you reading this think this is obvious. It is.
The obvious does NOT happen very often.
These two basic things will be lethal for your sales process. All you need to do is care a little more about your members.
